The Yamaha bass clarinet tone holes are undercut by hand for precise intonation, and the keys are hand-adjusted for a perfect touch. The YCL622II bass clarinet offers superb playability and sets new standards in bass clarinet design. The tone is warm and full of powerful projection. The range extends to low C, and intonation is balanced and true.

- Thorough visual check for any wood or plating defects.
- All pads checked for quality.
- Test all pad seatings & key adjustments using a feeler gauge.
- All key corks and felts checked, adjusted to set vent heights.
- Regulate and adjust keywork as required.
- All spring tensions checked and adjusted to create a balanced feel across the instrument.
- Test final pad seal with a Magnehelic air pressure test.
- Check joint tenons for correct fit and adjust.
- Tenon corks checked for cork quality and greased.
- Play test from top to bottom.
- Case inspected for quality, instrument fit and accessories.
- Instrument cleaned and carefully repacked.
