Our two Ozwinds stores are managed by musicians and certified musical instrument repair technicians.
We are dedicated to providing the very best advice, products, and after-sales service.  

From the beginning ...

Ozwinds owner Brian Ebert, a qualified brass and woodwind technician, opened Brass "n" Woodwind Workshop in 1989. This service and repair facility was located in Glenhuntly, Victoria.
The workshop was relocated to a larger premise at 572 North Road Ormond, Victoria one year later.
Around 1992, the workshop slowly evolved into a retail store, primarily selling used quality brass and woodwind instruments and then later moving into new instruments shortly before it became a company called Melbourne Brass and Woodwind Centre P/L
Our original static website, brassnwoodwind.com.au, began in the mid-90s, and we were among the first in our industry to create one.

The Ozwinds.com.au online website began in 2003 and continues to prosper today with new and changing products.

In March 2019, our retail and workshop stores moved into one location in Moorabbin. This is the largest store of its type in the southern hemisphere, with 1,200 square meters of space. We should be good for the next 30 years and beyond at 55 Cochranes Rd Moorabbin, Victoria. 3189.

Brisbane Store, now closed

First opening in 2006, the store was managed and run by the owner, Brian Ebert until 2010.

   After being in the Red Hill area for about a decade, we moved to our new store location at Stones Corner, which opened in early 2017.
  We were the Brass and Woodwind store for all your wind instrument needs in Brisbane 

Sadly our Brisbane store closed on 1st June 2024

Gold Coast Store

This store opened in 2000 and is still operated by Rob Rota and his partner Karen Hood.
With many years of repair experience, Rob operates and owns The Studio for Brass and Woodwind Repairs.

Ozstrings Melbourne

Begun in June 2014 and moved into our Ozwinds retail space at 578 North Rd in January 2016.

We relocated in March 2019 with Ozwinds and have much room to keep growing.

Ozwinds - Online Orders.

Most online orders are despatched from the Moorabbin Melbourne store, but whenever stock is not available, we call on our Gold Coast store or our suppliers to fill the order.
