The Yamaha YAS-82ZUL. This is the unlacquered version of Yamaha's famous YAS-82Z.
The evolution of the Yamaha Custom Z continues. With powerful sound and the ability to play fast passages without difficulty, the Z is crafted to meet your highest expectations. Yamaha has re-examined the YAS-82Z from the neck to the bell, now equipping them with a one-piece bell for increased resonance and the highly regarded V1 neck for the optimal combination of response and control.
Furthermore, each new instrument we sell includes a complimentary professional setup courtesy of our workshop - This ensures your new instrument plays perfectly from the moment you open the box.

Body design
The 82ZUL features a two-piece hydro-formed bell. The body, bell, and bow are annealed during production to make this horn more responsive and less resistant.

The new mechanisms on the 82ZUL allow for faster action and easier repair.

The 82ZUL comes with blue steel springs for faster, more sensitive key response and higher resiliency.

- Thorough visual check for any plating or lacquer defects
- All pads checked for quality.
- Test all pad seatings & key adjustments using a leak-light.
- All key corks and felts checked, adjusted to set vent heights.
- Regulate and adjust keywork as required.
- All spring tensions checked and adjusted to create a balanced feel across the instrument.
- Check neck tenon for correct fit.
- Neck cork checked for cork quality and greased.
- Check octave mechanism adjustment.
- Play test from top to bottom.
- Case inspected for quality, instrument fit and accessories.
