The YAS-480 saxophones represent a significant advancement in design. They offer a slightly increased resistance, resulting in a commanding sound while maintaining remarkable flexibility, thanks to the individual key guards. As anticipated from Yamaha, the ergonomics, playability, and intonation are outstanding. Building upon the well-regarded YAS-475 model, the YAS-480 saxophones incorporate an enhanced low B-C# connection for improved tuning, and the newly designed octave key system, derived from the 62 Series, allows for the seamless integration of custom necks.
