VENN Tenor Saxophone Reed - Generation 2 by D'Addario
The new Generation 2 VENN tenor sax reeds take all of the positive elements of the original VENN sax reeds and improve upon them. Full Dynamic Range, Improved Stability, Improved Durability.
The D'Addario VENN Tenor Saxophone reed is an advanced synthetic reed constructed of various polymer fibres, resin and natural cane elements. Designed to give players the benefits of synthetic reeds without compromising on the sound and playability of cane reeds.
The new Generation 2 VENN tenor sax reeds take all of the positive elements of the original VENN sax reeds and improve upon them. The latest models have improved flexibility, which finally gives a synthetic with Full Dynamic Range (a common complaint with other synthetics & the Gen 1 models)
The material & manufacturing process have been improved to eliminate the issues of fibre fraying after use, or the need for a sealing layer of tape. Finally, the strengths of the VENN Gen 2 reeds offer strengths that more accurately line up with a cane reed strength. So less guesswork on finding the right strength.
DEVELOPED BY THE INDUSTRY’S MOST REVERED ENGINEERS, VENN signals a whole new era in woodwind innovation: combining the stability and longevity of a synthetic reed with the sound and feel of natural cane.
To mimic the organic structure of cane, D'Addario reverse-engineered cane itself, layering different strengths of polymer fibres with resin and organic reed elements to make up the reed blank.
The result? VENN outlasts and outperforms anything else like it – all while sounding and playing like your favourite cane reed.
Type: Unfiled
- Unique combination of polymer fibers give VENN natural flexibility, for response and articulation similar to a cane reed.
- Combined with resin making VENN resistant to adverse elements and stresses that quickly break down natural cane reeds.
- Natural cane particles allow VENN to mimic cane, giving a warmer and richer sound.
