Quantz P-525E Flute The 525 Series features a hand-finished sterling silver embouchure plate and riser on silver plated head joint, body, foot joint and mechanism. Just as you derive most of the benefits of a solid silver instrument from a solid silver head joint, the sterling silver embouchure and riser deliver most of the benefits of a solid silver head joint at a quite modest price. These flutes come with French pointed key arms, giving even greater keypad seat reliability.

Split E Mechanism
For decades, most flutes sold in Europe and Japan have been equipped with a split E key. When Boehm designed the modern flute in the mid-1800's, he designed it with an open G# key. The advent of the closed G# key changed the venting for the high E, making that note difficult to control and to play in tune. The split E key restores the original venting, making this note more stable and in tune.

Our 13-Point Professional Set-up includes.
- All transit packing and corks from the manufacturer are removed.
- Thorough visual check for any plating or lacquer defects.
- All pads checked for quality.
- Test all pad seatings & key adjustments using a leak-light and feeler gauge.
- All key corks and felts checked, adjusted to set vent heights.
- Regulate and adjust keywork as required.
- All spring tensions checked and adjusted to create a balanced feel across the instrument.
- Test final pad seal with a Magnehelic air pressure test.
- Check foot and head joint tenons for correct fit.
- Check foot tenon for burrs.
- Play test from top to bottom.
- Case inspected for quality, instrument fit and accessories.
- Instrument cleaned and carefully repacked.
