While on vacation in Hungary, the composer was able to spend two nights in Budapest soaking up the energy of this historic city. ?A Night in Budapest? came out of the experience, based on a folk-like melody with a strong eastern European feel. The musical journey that Bobrowitz created almost feels like a travelogue, starting with an evocative slow-tempo intro, evolving to a dance tempo section with some quirky diversions, and climaxing with an accelerando that leaves the listener absolutely breathless.
