Hullayha (pronounced hull-ay-ha) is available either for SATB choir with simple divisions for basses and altos, or for Treble Voices a cappella. There are two optional percussion parts for tambourine, concert bar chimes and djembe. The piece moves from a soulful opening to a mood of abundant joy. To be performed A cappella or with string orchestra accompaniment. Originally from a larger orchestral and choral work called Childers Shining, Lament and Hullayha are now available as stand alone a cappella choral pieces.
