Hohner Diatonic Harmonicas
Diatonic harmonicas are tuned to a single major scale and were originally designed for songs with simple harmonic forms. However, their construction enables the special techniques of bending and overblowing, by which the tonal range can be augmented.
The diatonic harmonica, also known as blues harp, offers simple major scales and chords. Special playing techniques like bendings and overbends extend the tonal range. Its sound is typical for blues, folk, and country, but also pop and rock.
