Made for the more advanced student, this model incorporates some lovely book-matched flamed maple on the back with matching maple on the ribs (sides).

Made for the more advanced student this model incorporates some lovely book-matched flamed maple on the back with matching maple on the ribs (sides). The Gliga I enjoys the use of fine straight-grained aged spruce with is carefully graduated (variable thickness internal carving) to best tune the plates (back and belly) to provide a rich, well-rounded sound audible to the discerning ear.
This versatile cello delivers a robust performance and a full range of tonal colours for both solo and orchestral work. The ebony fittings and maple bridge are fashioned in the Gliga workshops.
Fitted with a high-quality, hand-carved maple bridge and Jargar strings from Denmark, this outfit is completed in Australia with the addition of a 20mm black padded FPS bag and an Articul brand carbon graphite bow. Truly an international combination.
