Fitted with a high-quality hand-carved maple bridge and Jargar strings from Denmark, this outfit is completed in Australia with the addition of a 20mm black padded FPS bag and an Articul brand carbon graphite bow. The Gliga II Cello Outfit in Dark Antique Finish (4/4 Size) sees the introduction of the use of flamed maple on the back and ribs (sides) of the instrument. Additionally, a tighter-grain of spruce is used. These two specifications alone result in better aesthetics and sound. All tonewood in Gliga’s workshops are carefully graded and naturally the higher the grade of wood the more effort is made in the carving and tuning of the plates (back and belly).
