Contrails Cb2.5 Sc/pts

Composed by Indiana composer/poet Mark Connor, this easier concert band work beautifully captures in music the feeling of flight. Its joyous and celebratory nature was inspired by the proximity of the commissioning school (Eminence Jr./Sr. High School) to the Indianapolis International Airport, as well as the birth of the composer?s first child. From the composer?s poem: Long after we are both gone / the echoes of my love for you will linger in the air / like the contrails of a passing jetliner.
