Unlike modern production Conn-Selmer instruments, this King saxophone was made in the USA, where manufacturing occurred from the early 1900s all the way through to the late 80s/early 90s. Despite the fact it was likely manufactured in the 80s, this saxophone is in very nice cosmetic and mechanical condition, with only minimal wear on its dintinctive and striking honey gold lacquer finish.

This saxophone has just received a minor service with some tweaks and adjustments from our workshop, so it is playing comfortably across the range. There is some slight pull-down of the neck, which is noticeable up close, however for a beginning student this will not affect its playability, The keywork moves well, with surprisingly comfortable ergonomics and intonation across the range. This saxophone would be ideal for a beginner or amatuer getting started on their saxophone journey, looking for a rock-solid and visually striking horn.

Included with this saxophone is the original rectangular plastic shelled hard case, a Yamaha 4C plastic mouthpiece with ligature and cap, a bonus Jupiter 4C tenor sax mouthpiece (just in case!), a couple of unused Rico 1.5 reeds, and a basic cloth neck strap. Head in to our Moorabbin store to test play this horn, as well as our extensive range of new and 2nd hand saxophones.
