Worth every penny, I will be getting one of these soon!! I played one in store and the only thing I could find wrong was the resistance (no harder than blowing in a straight mute though). This mute is fantastic in the sense that pro's and students are buying them for their silent qualities without the pre-amp. I find the preamp useful it is like having a rehersal space (when your eyes are closed). I am a student at the QLD Conservatorium and the neighbours will be thankful when I purchase this unit. I'll add more to this review once I purchase one, I am going to thoroughly test the recording and effects possibilities of this mute to help those other frustrated "midnight" muso's find the time to practice their art or past-time in early or late hours.
