2010 Australasian Double Reed Competition at Scotch College, James Forbes Academy,Hawthorn, Melbourne, Saturday 23 October.
Over $10,000 in cash and prizes was on offer on the day.
Melbourne Brass and Woodwind were proud to be a major sponsor and to be attending this Australian annual event. Our head woodwind technician Ian Gordon was on hand offering on the spot instrument adjustments and expert advise with managing director Brian Ebert.
We had more than a bakers dozen Marigaux oboes on display, along with Howarth, Loree, Yamaha and Buffet Oboes. Bassoons included Moosmann, Schreiber, Yamaha and Fox.
This was an excellent day for all the 70 plus participants.
Exhibitors from Interstate, New Zealnd, Germany and England also helped make the day very special.
